Recording Initial Vital Signs
- eNcounter provides users an opportunity to record the patient’s initial vital signs before entering the Consult Screen. The following data can be recorded: Systolic / Diastolic Blood Pressure, Temperature, Oxygen Saturation, Pulse Rate, Glucose, and Weight. Reference the "Total Vitals" article for more information regarding how to setup the TotalVitals device as well as operation instructions for taking each measurement.
- If the application is connected to a compatible vital signs device, the fields will populate in real time as each measurement is taken with the device.
- If the application is not connected to a compatible device, users must enter the values in each field manually. After the values are entered, click Yes, record values and continue to save the data and proceed to the Consult Screen.
