Installing and Updating eNcounter Software

Installation
First Time Installation
- Download both the eNcounter Prerequisite Installer and the eNcounter v3.x.x installer from the downloads page under the support tab on the GlobalMed website.
- Copy the prerequisite installer onto your desktop. Right click the icon and select Run as administrator.
- Copy the eNcounter v3.x.x installer onto your desktop. Right click the icon and select Run as administrator.
- Reboot the machine after the installation is complete.
Migrating to a Newer Version with Auto Updater
- If the Auto Updater is enabled in your Institution, then you will be automatically notified when new versions of eNcounter are available. When you first login, you will know that an updated version is available if you receive this message:
- It is strongly recommended that you proceed with the update by clicking on “Yes”. If you are in a time-critical situation where you do not want to update immediately, you can select “No”, but the reminder message will continue to appear until the software is updated to the latest version.
- If you click “Yes”, then the following message will appear:
- When the update is complete, relaunch eNcounter using the desktop icon.
Migrating to a Newer Version with Manual Update
- Download the eNcounter v3.x.x installer from the downloads page under the support tab on the GlobalMed website.
- Right click the icon and select Run as administrator. Allow all programs to be installed.
- Reboot the machine.
